Dr. Aaron Stewart joined PersonalEyes in 2016 after working in an ophthalmology practice south of Grand Rapids for almost six years. He graduated from the Honors College at Michigan State University in 2006. He then attended the Michigan College of Optometry, graduating with high honors in 2010. In 2019 he became a partner in the practice with Dr. Spears. Dr. Stewart is involved in the West Michigan Optometric Association, having served on the board for 7 years. He has combined his love for travel with his expertise in eyecare by participating in several international eyecare missions. He has provided medical eyecare at a rural clinic in Guatemala five times and looks forward to more trips in the future.
When he’s not in the office Dr. Stewart enjoys traveling with his wife, playing tennis, tackling DIY home renovations and spending time with his young son.
Dr. Ashley Kamann joined PersonalEyes in 2021 after working in private practice optometry for 12 years. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2005. She went on to attend Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry and graduated in 2009 where she was recognized for Clinical Excellence in Contact Lens.
Dr. Kamann has worked in several practice settings and has experience in ocular disease, contact lens, family practice, vision therapy, and surgical co-management. Most recently, Dr. Kamann practiced in Oklahoma City at a pediatric optometry practice before moving with her husband and two boys to the Grand Rapids area.
Dr. Kamann is a member of the West Michigan Optometry Association.
